(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, DEC 1 - "More than 12 million people living with HIV still do not have access to treatment. Prevention, tests and correct information for all are fundamental". The president of the European Parliament David Sassoli writes on Twitter. "On this day (WorldAIDSDay) we thank all those who fight against HIV during the Covid-19 epidemic", as well as the "health workers", adds Sassoli. The President of the European Council Charles Michel also spoke with untweet on World AIDS Day.
"Despite great progress, HIV is still a major public health problem in the world," he said. "Global solidarity is the key to HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care services." (HANDLE).
