(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 1 - The reports of accidents at work presented to the Institute between January and October were 421,497 with a decrease of 21.1% compared to the same period of 2019. In the same period there were 1,036 reports of accidents with a fatal outcome, an increase of 15.6%. Inail reveals this, underlining that this year's data are "strongly influenced by the coronavirus emergency". The complaints of occupational diseases are decreasing, which amounted to 36,619 (-28.3%).
The reports of accidents due to Covid infections are 16% of the total while the reports of fatal accidents related to Covid are about one third of the total.
