More than 16 thousand Syrian civilians have been killed under torture in Syrian government prisons in the last 10 years: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in Syria reports today, which publishes an updated and documented list of 16. (ANSA)


(ANSA) - BEIRUT, 01 DEC - More than 16 thousand Syrian civilians have been killed under torture in Syrian government prisons in the last 10 years: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in Syria reports today, which publishes an updated and documented list of 16,224 victims since 2011 till today.


    Of these, 16,035 are men of age, 125 are minors and 64 are women.

The Syrian government has always denied torture and detaining political activists and dissidents in its prisons.
