What we live in is a world in constant and rapid change and, this year more than ever, each of us has found ourselves having to rethink our habits and our lifestyle to cope with a widespread crisis situation and adapt. to the profound changes that this has brought to our daily life, starting with staying at home.
It used to be said
'This house is not a hotel!
"with the lockdown in March and the current one, whether total or partial, whether it is the tightening in the region we live in, the house has become a universe other than a hotel: we work there, we play sports, we study, we spend time relaxation with the entertainment of hyper-technological TV, in addition to everything we did before. Although we react differently to events, what really unites us in this period of uncertainty is the
desire for a new normal, that is, to find a balance
that can bring well-being and comfort to our lives and to the spaces we live, work or meet in.
How is this reflected in colors?
On the Voice of Color platform of PPG, which promotes a functional and conscious use of color, for 2021 a color of the year is no longer indicated but three new trends -
"Be Well", "Be Wild" and "Be True"
- that reflect the possible ways in which people respond to these changes.
Through warm and natural shades and each with its own specificities, the three palettes proposed by the color stylists offer new ideas and inspiration to those who are constantly looking for well-being and harmony for their everyday spaces, be they living, working but not only.
And this both to color the walls of the house again and as a starting point for furniture and furnishings.
Three distinct color palettes that correspond to (at least) as many ways of being and of understanding color but united by a single fil rouge:
“Brown is the new Gray”.
where brown stands for brown from sand onwards.
A new concept, the latter, which is realized thanks to
Transcend, a neutral shade
- common to all trends - which recalls the warm and comfortable shades of the earth and which lends itself to infinite possibilities of combination with other colors and materials.
