Premier Giuseppe Conte writes it on Twitter and publishes a video that launches the G20 announcing the logo of the event and that the leaders' summit will take place on October 30 and 31 in Rome, "in the Eternal City, the capital of Italy," where we will reap the fruits of our commitment ".
"People, planet, prosperity are the three pillars of the Italian presidency of the G20, which will guide us to the final summit of the leader in October", says Conte in a video in which he opens the presidency of the G20: he speaks in front of the Colosseum and in the background they flow images of the beauties of Italy.
"We will work for a more equitable and just economic recovery, to fight old and new inequalities", says Conte.
And among the topics it lists: empowerment of women, energy transition, fight against climate change, digitization, strengthening of the global trading system according to transparency and inclusiveness.
"Italy will be able to field all its commitment, its openness to dialogue, showing its beauty, its history, its ability to plan the future. We will do it by trying to leave behind us all together the terrible pandemic that is underway. causing so much suffering in every part of the world ", says the premier.
