A two-year-old girl was reported missing on Monday in Fulda, Hesse.
Thermal imaging cameras and a dog team were used in the subsequent search, as well as a drone with a thermal imaging camera.
On Tuesday afternoon, divers from the German Life-Saving Society finally found a child's body in a canal.
Now the police have announced that it is the missing two-year-old.
The investigation into the cause of death continued.

Little Timnit is said to have left her parents' apartment unnoticed, but the exact circumstances are still unclear.
