Actress Alan Page announced today (Tuesday) on social media that she is transgender and that from today she asks to be addressed as Elliott.
"Hi friends," read a written statement Paige posted on his Instagram and Twitter pages.
"I want to share with you that I'm a trance, my body nicknames are he / they and my name is Elliott. I feel so lucky to write this. To be here. I came to this place in my life. I feel grateful for the people who supported me in this journey. Paige continued: "I have been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, generosity and endless work in the effort to make this world a more inclusive place. I will offer all the support I can to continue to work for a loving and egalitarian society.

Page as mentioned uses the body pronouns he and they, and sees himself as a non-binary transgender, with his gender identity not a man or a woman.
The 33-year-old actor began his acting career in 1997 at the age of 10 in a supporting role in a Canadian TV movie.
He got his first lead role in the 2005 film "Hard Candy," in which he played a 14-year-old girl who traps a pedophile and tortures him.
In 2006, he starred in the film "X-Men 3: The Last Refuge" as Kitty Pride and in 2007 he won the lead role in the film "Juno", in which he played a teenage girl who became pregnant and was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Oscar.

In February 2014 at a human rights conference in Las Vegas he came out of the closet and declared himself a lesbian.
