(ANSA) - NEW YORK, 02 DEC - Enough ceremonies via Zoom, the 2021 Oscars will be in person and live. This was announced by a spokesperson for the Academy of Motion Arts and Sciences exclusively to "Variety".
The annual "Night of the Stars" televised on ABC has been moved this year to April 25, 2021 due to the pandemic. The hope is that the theaters will be open again by that date (thus allowing more films to participate) but even if this does not happen the idea is to organize the delivery of prizes as in the past.
However, the question remains as to how many people will be admitted to the Dolby Theater, where the ceremony traditionally takes place and which has a capacity of 3400 seats, and whether many stars "over 60" will agree to participate.
