These days you can actually see an unparalleled red fall in the Golan Heights.
The deciduous trees and vines enter the fall and hibernate, with the first trees "going to sleep" being the cherry trees that are now painted in orange fall colors.
The vines will then enter the fall and the last to fall asleep will be the apple trees.
The order of awakening of the trees from sleep will be the same.
The cherry wakes up first from hibernation followed by the vine, quince, peach, plum and finally the apple.

Druze Tuscany
You can now see the fall in the area of the vineyards of Kibbutz Merom Golan in the north of the plateau, as well as in the area of Mount Avital and Mount Bentel.
Try looking for the Merlot-type vineyards, where the red shedding is at its best.
Also, enter the crater of Mount Avital, to see red vines in the fall.
To see a wonderful fall of cherries and quinces, we looked even further into the area of the Druze villages of Buqata and a restaurant, and drove along the orchard roads northeast of the village of Buqata - you will feel like in Druze Tuscany.
It is worthwhile to walk around the apple orchards after harvest, to see the beginning of the fall of the apples and the thousands of apples that fell from the
trees and line the soil of the orchard with a green-red carpet.

Feel like in a far north country
At the end of the dumping tour, it is worthwhile to reach the vicinity of the West Junction, where the Golan Regional Council and the Ministry of
Tourism planted the dumping forest.
Dozens of fallen trees that were brought to the site about ten years ago as young seedlings, and today are mature trees that greet us with red-orange-golden fall, giving us a feeling of a far northern country.
The article is dedicated to the memory of the late Iris Zertel, an Israeli guide who, like the trees, fell asleep this week.
