We all know that dogs are very smart animals, but how smart?
A team of experts in Hungary tested the limits of the dogs' abilities and found two genius dogs - Max and Squal.
Every Wednesday, in an online competition, two dogs from different countries compete against each other in the "Genius Dog Challenge".
The competition, which includes six contestants, tries to find the smartest dog in the world and tries to find the limits of the dogs' intelligence and what makes them so smart relative to other animals.
The last competitors were Max from Hungary and Squal from Florida, United States.
They practiced for a week on their ability to identify new toys by their name and bring them to their owners.
At the beginning of the competition Squal hesitated a bit and chose the wrong toy, but recovered and replaced it with the right toy at the last minute.

At the end of the eight-minute competition, the two were really close with six points and both advanced to the next stage.
Most dogs had a hard time recognizing objects by name, but Max and Squall stood out favorably.
Dr. Claudia Pogaza, a dog behavior researcher, shed some light on the subject and said: “Most dogs have difficulty learning the names of objects.
It is difficult for them even after intense training.
We want to understand what is different about these dogs that sets them apart from others. "
Adam Miklosi of Lorand University was shocked by Max and Squall's accomplishments and said:" We saw a lot of dogs, but they had a hard time choosing even from two objects.
Max and Squall were amazing, they didn't just run and play, they tried to make informed decisions. "
