How to Make Oreo Cheesecake Without Baking
First, separate
14 oreo biscuits
and scrape off the fillings - don't eat them, we'll need them later for the cheesecake cream!
Place the biscuit halves in a freezer bag with a zipper, close it and tap it with a rolling pin to break the biscuits.
You can also use a food processor, but don't pulverize the biscuits; small pieces should still be visible.
Melt the
butter
, let it cool down briefly and place it in a bowl with the cookie crumbs.
Mix the two together well.
Pour the mixture on the bottom of a springform pan (15 cm diameter), distribute it evenly and press the cake base firmly into place.
Put the springform pan in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Mix the
gelatin
with 20 ml of cold water in a small bowl and set it aside for 15 minutes.
In another bowl, stir the
cream cheese
with a whisk until smooth, then add
sugar
and the
oreo cream fillings
from the beginning and mix everything together well.
Now heat the gelatin in the microwave for about 30 seconds and then stir it for a minute.
Let the gelatin cool down briefly and add it to the cream cheese mixture.
Stir well, you get a smooth cream.
Whip
the
cream
lightly with a whisk, it does not have to be whipped until stiff.
Add the cream to the cheese cream and carefully fold it in with a spatula.
Now take the springform pan out of the refrigerator and distribute half of the cheese cream evenly on it.
Place
6 oreo cookies
horizontally and in a circle around the edge of the pan, not in the middle.
Now put the rest of the cheese cream filling on top and smooth it out.
Finally, pulverize another
2 oreo biscuits
(without filling) and sprinkle the oreo powder on the surface of the cake.
The oreo cheesecake has to soak in the refrigerator for another 3-4 hours, then it's ready to serve.
A
tip for cutting
: Use a long, sharp knife (promotional link) and hold it briefly under the tap with hot water.
This makes it easy to cut perfect pieces.
If you don't finish the cake straight away, you should definitely put it back
in the refrigerator
in between
so that it retains its cut resistance.
Caution: If you store strongly smelling food in the refrigerator, the cake can take on the aromas.
Cover the oreo cheesecake loosely with some
cling film
or a
cake hood
.
