Swimming athlete Sarah Köhler and swimming athlete Florian Wellbrock made their marriage plans public with a couple photo on Instagram.
"I'm going to be a Mrs. Wellbrock," wrote the 26-year-old.
"She said yes," announced her partner three years her junior.
Neither of them gave further details.
Köhler and Wellbrock both train in Magdeburg.
You are considered to be the German hope for the Olympic swimming competitions in Tokyo.
Wellbrock is world champion over 1500 m in the pool and 10 km in open water.
Köhler became vice world champion over 1500 meters on the long track in 2019 and won gold with the open water relay.
In November of last year she improved the short course world record over 1500 meters.
