Scala: theater and cinema also enter the premiere

(ANSA) - MILAN, 03 DEC - There is also prose in the show 'A riveder le stelle' that La Scala will stage on 7 December with a cast of 25 great protagonists of the opera.

To 'connect' the famous arias and pieces that will be performed under the direction of maestro Riccardo Chailly on the podium of the orchestrascaligera there will in fact be narrative parts with branches ranging from the letters of Giuseppe Verdi to Victor Hugo, from Montale to Sting.


    To interpret them will be protagonists of prose, young and old actors from cinema and theater.


    Caterina Murino, Bond girl in Casino Royale, will read the text of Fragile by Sting, while Massimo Popolizio, who is one of the columns of the Piccolo teatro, a text by Ingmar Bergman.


    Giancarlo Judica Cordiglia, actor directed over the years by LucaRonconi, Dario Argento and seen in fiction as Don Matteo, will instead be the voice of a letter from Verdi on Shakespeare.


    In the long list the only non-actress will be Michela Murgia.

The writer will introduce the part dedicated to the heroes of the opera.


    As per tradition, the premiere on 7 December will have a youth preview.

In this case the preview on 4 December from 6.15 pm will be streamed with an introduction by the superintendent Dominique Meyer, exclusive clips of the alternating rehearsals with interviews with the artists involved.
