In the current case, two articles from Meienburg GmbH are affected.

Recall for sesame muesli and sesame seeds due to cancer risk: only certain best-before dates affected

The

Meienburg GmbH

gets two items back from their shelves.

The so-called Friesen-Müsli Seesucht contains

sesame

in small quantities.

Internal tests at the company appear to reveal that it

is contaminated

with residues of

ethylene oxide

.

The manufacturer emphasizes that only one batch with certain best-before dates until 2021 are affected.

In addition to muesli, Meienburg GmbH is also recalling two

types

of

sesame seeds

.

In tests, residues of the

toxic ethylene oxide

on this product

The drug can

The first variant is called "Meienburg Sesame Seed Natur".

The recall applies to both the 500 gram and 1000 gram weight class.

Customers can identify the product using the printed EAN code 4009790008902 or 4009790008919.

However, the recognition of the affected item is a bit complicated for customers.

Fortunately, this product only affects one batch with only one best-before date.

The batch 9198 has the best before date 06/08/2021.

In this case, too, the sesame seeds were probably

contaminated

with

cancer-

causing ethylene oxide.

Meienburg GmbH warns against consuming the three products.

Customers should bring the seeds or muesli back to the point of sale.

There the purchase price is paid even without a receipt.
