++ Proceedings to the Constitutional Court, Pogliese returns to Catania mayor ++

(ANSA) - CATANIA, 05 DEC - The Civil Court of Catania, accepting the request of the defense college on the validity of the question of constitutional legitimacy relating to the application of the Severino law, sent the proceedings of the request for "annulment" to the Constitutional Court on the suspension from office of mayor of Salvo Pogliese. The decision is enforceable and Pogliese, who had been suspended from office for 18 months for being sentenced to four years and three months for embezzlement by the Court of Palermo for the use of reimbursements spent when he was group leader at Ars del Pdl, is reinstated in the office of mayor (ANSA).
