(ANSA) - GENOA, DECEMBER 05 - The A7 Genoa - Milan motorway was reopened this morning, which was closed yesterday due to snow, with truckers and motorists blocked from the afternoon.
Traffic returned to normal on the north carriageway at 6.30 am and south towards Genoa at 7 am. "Around 3 am last night the last vehicle left the motorway. By late afternoon there were about 50 trucks and 13 cars left which were gradually let out ", says the regional councilor for civil protection Giacomo Giampedrone.
All the people remaining on the vehicles were assisted with blankets, warm food and drinks by the civil defense.
"After the last vehicle left the motorway - says Giampedrone - the manager worked to make the section safe." Regular traffic also on the A26, Genoa -Gravellona Toce, and on the A6 Savona - Turin: here too yesterday there was had been closed due to snowfall.
In the central internal area of Liguria the yellow warning for snow remains.
It is currently raining on the east of the region, the temperatures have risen, but from the afternoon snow is still expected starting from 400 meters above sea level.
