The A7 Genoa - Milan motorway was reopened this morning, which was closed yesterday due to snow, with truckers and motorists blocked since the afternoon.
Traffic returned to normal on the north carriageway at 6.30 and in the south towards Genoa at 7. "At around 3 am last night the last vehicle left the motorway. By the late afternoon there were about 50 trucks and 13 cars left which a little once they were let out ", says the regional councilor for civil protection Giacomo Giampedrone.
All the people remaining on the vehicles were assisted with blankets, food and hot drinks by the civil defense.
"After the last vehicle left the motorway - says Giampedrone - the manager worked to make the section safe". Regular traffic also on the A26, Genoa - Gravellona Toce, and on the A6 Savona - Turin: here too yesterday there had been closures due to snow. In the central internal area of Liguria, the yellow warning for snow remains.
It is currently raining on the east side of the region, temperatures have risen, but snow is expected from 400 meters above the afternoon.
