(ANSA) - MILAN, 04 DEC - A 53-year-old man died after being crushed by a collapsed tree under the weight of the snow, in the late afternoon today in Golasecca (Varese).
Franco Giovanniello, a worker from Vergiate (Varese), was walking home from work when the plant collapsed and overwhelmed him.
While the firefighters, the 118 rescuers and the carabinieri arrived on the scene, the man was able to drag himself for a few meters before he passed out.
The attempts to revive him were worth nothing.
