New grief among doctors due to the Covid pandemic: there are 4 white coats whose deaths were announced today by the presidents of the Orders.
Three of them were family doctors.
Thus the names that will be remembered on the memorial of the National Federation of Medical Orders (Fnomceo) rise to 237.
"We are back to the times of March - comments the president Fnomceo Filippo Anelli - we must understand the reason for what is a real massacre, especially in the context of general medicine".
"Only by understanding the causes of these deaths, which we frankly did not expect in the second wave - underlines Anelli - will we be able to prevent other deaths and honor our missing colleagues. For this reason we have proposed, in agreement with the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, a monitoring on the territory".
Dr. Sergio Pascale, Cimop union leader and former Councilor of the Order of Doctors, passed away yesterday in Avellino.
In his professional life he was head of the intensive care unit of the Malzoni Clinic in Avellino.
He died in a health facility in Salerno, where he was hospitalized last November 25, after his health conditions had worsened following the discovery of his positivity to Sars-Cov-2: he was 69 years old.

"Aosta also has his mourning. Pippo Miceli. General Practitioner who died tonight after twenty days of struggle", says Roberto Rosset, president of the Order of Doctors of Valle D'Aosta.
"Bad news also from Vercelli: another family doctor, Dr. Franco Barillà, has died", replies Piergiorgio Fossale, outgoing president of the Piedmontese OMCEO, expressing "sadness and a sense of helplessness".
"A member of the Order of Pavia, Giuseppe Minchiotti, 61, died of Covid - adds the president Claudio Lisi - he too was a general practitioner".
