There have, of course, been some advances.
Nursery care for disadvantaged young children has been reinforced thanks to the “social mix bonus”, from which a quarter of establishments have benefited.
In March, before schools were closed due to confinement, 155,000 children were able to enjoy free breakfasts.
As for the revaluation of the activity bonus in December 2018 in response to the “yellow vests” crisis, it helped lift 210,000 people out of poverty in 2019, according to INSEE.
