Directly inspired by the proposals of the Citizen's Convention for the Climate, the text that is circulating does not ultimately impose general bans targeting the most polluting products.

Only advertising for fossil fuels (oil, gas and coal), which has the greatest impact on greenhouse gas emissions, would be banned.

The government would therefore rule out the option of banning entire sectors such as the automotive and aviation industries from advertising.
