For the 72 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italy (www.rfkitalia.org) organizes 'The night of human rights'

, an evening with the annual award assigned by the non-profit organization followed by a

concert by the Cameristi della Scala

, with the alto Daniela Pini and Francesco Manara, first violin of the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra.

The appointment, from 7 pm, is for Thursday 10 December on the organization's website and Facebook page and on the screens of the Ibm Studios in Piazza Gae Aulenti in Milan

.

The

Rfr Human Rights Italia Awards 2020 are assigned to three realities

that have distinguished themselves in this period of particular difficulty, the Italian Red Cross - Committee of Florence, the Bambino Gesù Foundation and Caritas Ambrosiana.

"2020 was one of the most difficult and tragic years since the Second World War - says

Stefano Lucchini, president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italy

- but we want to close it in the sign of hope and with our eyes turned to the future. the desire is that reading the Universal Declaration of Human Rights will appreciate even more our Constitutional Charter, which remains one of the most comprehensive in the world not only in terms of human rights ".

During the event it will be possible to make donations to the projects of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italy.

"2020 was a year or very difficult for human rights, because the pandemic has amplified many situations, especially at home and at school. But it was also a year that saw the non-profit react in an extraordinary way. Everyone is doing an exceptional job and without the non-profit the social stability of the country would be compromised ".

Speaking is

Federico Moro, general secretary of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italy

.

"In this particularly hard year - observes Moro - we are very happy with what has been done and how much we have been able to help do. For example, the launch of an emergency fund with which we have tried to create a system between Italian donors and Americans, which made it possible to raise 800,000 euros in 3 months ".

Among the realities with which Rfk Human Rights Italy has collaborated are the winners.

"We launched and supported projects on the health emergency - explains Moro - which were used to purchase diagnostic kits for tracing the virus for the Bambino Gesù pediatric hospital and for a highly bio-containment ambulance for the Florence Committee of the Red Cross".

Alongside this, the commitment on the front of the economic emergency with food and basic necessities distributed in Florence and in the Milan area.

In the Tuscan capital there are about a hundred families helped, especially with children, 600 tons of food goods distributed to more than 20 thousand people and 4 thousand children in Lombardy together with Caritas Ambrosiana, with which the opening of a solidarity emporium is imminent .

"Tomorrow we therefore decided - explains Moro - to reward these three organizations, to talk about what has been done this year and to offer a moment of reconciliation with the concert. A free evening to be accessible to as many people as possible".

And accessibility, the "democratization of opportunities", is one of the things 'taught' by the emergency period.

"The pandemic - Moro reasons - has given us the opportunity to innovate our planning. Ours is a Foundation that deals mainly with human rights in schools and the use of online platforms has given us, for example, the possibility of organizing a training course on civic education, 'CivicAttiva', with the participation of 1500 teachers from all over Italy, something that in a frontal training could never have happened ".
