The ZDF classic "Bares for Rares" is always good for a surprise.

This time, too, the expectations of a saleswoman were exceeded.

It often happened that the

sellers

were surprised at the junk show * led by the presenter Horst Lichter.

This time it hit Sabine Sauer from the southern Ruhr area, who

wanted to

turn

her

ice cube container into cash

.

She bought the sale object from the 1970s in a

second-hand shop

, as she said in advance.

The golden pineapple: a coveted item at "Bares for Rares"

The art dealer

Sven Deutschmanek took a

closer look at the item in advance.

It turned out that it was an ice cube container from the Swiss company

Freddotherm

.

In cooperation with the

designer Hans Turnwald

, not only the golden pineapple was created, but also a pear.

The ice cube trays were mainly found in the closets from the 1970s.

The

brass object

was not only available in gold, but also in silver, as the art dealer reveals.

“Bares for Rares”: Saleswoman stays cool and makes huge profits

The expert classified the golden pineapple at

50 to 100 euros

and noted that high surcharges of up to 240 euros are often paid for it.

Sabine Sauer said she would be happy about a sum between 100 and 150 euros.

But what then happened at the dealerships amazed them.

She stayed cool

during the

negotiations

, however.

The dealers were already excitedly awaiting the saleswoman.

Ready to bid,

Lisa Nüdling

asked in

advance with wide eyes: “Why do you sell something like that?” The other dealers were also immediately hooked on the tropical fruit and

immediately bought in at 80 euros

.

The other bids did not have to be long in coming.

The traders offered a real

exchange of

blows in

order to take possession of the golden pineapple.

In the end, the dealer Lisa Nüdling won and bought the “mega part”, as she calls it, for a

proud 480 euros

.

With this, Sabine Sauer achieved a much

higher profit than initially expected

.

A successful day, not just for the saleswoman.
