The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported another 6,994 coronavirus infections and 211 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the health portfolio had reported that 20,785 tests were carried out, and that since the beginning of the outbreak there have been 4,145,226 diagnostic tests for this disease, which is equivalent to 91,351 samples per million inhabitants.

President Alberto Fernández announced this Thursday that Argentina signed an agreement with Russia for the arrival of the Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus in the country.

In that sense, he confirmed that before the end of the year 600,000 doses will arrive, which will allow 300,000 people to be vaccinated.

In addition, between January and February another 20 million doses will arrive.

The pandemic registered more than 668,000 new cases and more than 12,500 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to more than 68.9 million infected people worldwide, according to the balance published this Thursday by Johns Hopkins University.

With the new data, the global count already stands at

68,921,974 infected people and 1,569,880 fatalities

, while the patients who have recovered rise to 44.4 million.
