Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that the company will continue to adopt the smart working formula until at least June 2021. According to Bloomberg, Cook shared new details about the company's plan to return to the office during a virtual meeting with employees. stating that while face-to-face collaboration can never be replaced, there is still a way to improve and learn even by working remotely.
An announcement that aligns the company with what has already been planned by other giants of the hi-tech world, from Microsoft to Facebook via Google and Amazon.
"There is nothing that can replace face-to-face collaboration," Cook said. "But we have also learned a lot about how we can do our work outside the office without sacrificing productivity or results. The CEO then added that many employees will be able to return to Apple Park and other offices of the company only from June 2021. Currently, there are about half of the employees usually expected on the campus, since all the others work from home.
Cook also told employees that after the "challenges of the last few months," everyone will receive an additional paid vacation scheduled for January 4.
