Düsseldorf - It has been known for three months that a large amount of
contaminated sesame seeds has
reached the European market.
Many
manufacturers
have used Indian
sesame
in their goods.
As a result, many products had to be recalled in the past few weeks.
Only this week a popular product from Asian cuisine was taken off the market by an organic manufacturer.
Now caution is advised once more.

.
The product therefore does not meet the requirements of the
European Union

food safety
.

The contamination of food by the highly toxic chemical is currently one of the most common reasons for food recalls.
Sesame recall in Germany: The food industry is fighting with poisoned products
Due to the
contamination
of the sesame seeds used, four different types of muesli had to be withdrawn from sale in the past few weeks.
In addition, two protein bread mixes are contaminated with ethylene oxide.
The snack industry has also been hit: one type of cheese crackers and breadsticks should definitely not be consumed anymore due to the contamination.
