The global smartwatch market continues to grow and Apple has the lion's share, both in terms of volumes and, above all, in terms of revenues.

To say it are the analysts of Counterpoint, according to which in the third quarter the worldwide shipments of smart watches increased by 6% on an annual basis.

The Apple Watch accounted for more than a quarter (28%) of total shipments, a figure up two percentage points from a year ago.

Economically, from July to September, Apple Watches generated 2.3 billion in revenues, 18% more than in the third quarter of 2019 and equal to about half the turnover of the entire sector.

In second place is confirmed Huawei, which grows and achieves 15% of total deliveries.

In the same period of 2019, the Shenzhen company held 10%.

In addition to the launch of new models including those for children, the strong demand for smartwatches in China, which has become the first market in the world after seven quarters of North American leadership, has also contributed to Huawei.

In fact, China channeled 30.3% of deliveries, compared to 29.9% in the US and Canada.

Returning to the ranking, Samsung is third and brings its market share from 8 to 10%, thanks to the good reception of the Galaxy Watch 3. Followed by the Chinese BBK with the Imoo brand at 7%, Fitbit at 6%, Amazfit at 5% , Garmin at 4% and Fossil at 2%.
