(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 12 - Coupons "who make the bad guys save their jobs".

This is how Claudio Bisio summarizes the trigger for the misadventures of the protagonists of Cops - Unabanda di copiziotti, the Sky Original comedy in dueappuntamenti directed by Luca Miniero, produced by Sky and BanijayItalia, debuting on Monday 14 and 21 December (the intention is to continue the story in next seasons) on Sky Cinema.

   In addition to Bisio, the choral cast includes, among others, PietroSermonti, Francesco Mandelli, Dino Abbrescia, Giulia Bevilacqua, Guglielmo Poggi and Giovanni Esposito.

It is an action comedy with a bit of thriller and comedy that is also zany that adapts a Swedish film from 2003, Kops by Josef Fares.

    The protagonists are some policemen who, in order to avoid the closure of their police station, in a town that is too quiet, decide to engage in some small crime, to stir the waters.

The action here moves from Sweden to the Apulian province, in an imaginary town, Apulia.

To enjoy the calm are among others the not too awake superintendent Nicola Gargiulo, known for the physicist O'Sicc (Sermonti), married to the generous and strong superintendent Maria Crocifissa (Bevilacqua);

the insane Benny the Cop (Mandelli) who thinks, talks and acts as a 'cop' for an American detective;

the gay switchboard operator Tommaso (Poggi) who always feels himself the target of homophobic allusions.

Leading the group, accustomed to gathering in front of Tonino's (Abbrescia) sandwich kiosk, which hides a secret, arrives Commissioner Valerio Cinardi (Bisio), in search of tranquility after a career in the forefront.

For them the arrival of the upright emissary of the ministry Margherita Nardelli (Rocca) with her bad news, has the effect of an earthquake.

    "The adaptation to the south was quite spontaneous - explains Miniero - we wanted to show both geographically and humanly an imperfect world. It is also a parody on the police genre, which has invaded our TVs".

Some have quoted, "speaking of Cops, The Blunt Bullet or Police School - says Bisio -. I also really like the demented aspect.

   With these premises, there are all the elements to go forward".
