This is probably why experts recommend not touching an eczema after it has grown: a 17-year-old girl was almost blinded by a mysterious disease that broke out when an "harmless" eczema that appeared on her nose exploded.

Like most teenagers her age, Mary Ann Regucci, a resident of Nuweiba Asia, Philippines, woke up one morning to discover an eczema growing on her nose.

She blew it up and continued with the routine of her life.

Very soon Regucho discovered that touching Hachakon was not a good idea and her face began to swell.

A few days later the swelling spread on her face, completely distorted her and almost led to her blindness.

"It felt like an inflatable balloon," Ragucho said. To their former glory. "

The young woman said that she tried to treat an infection created with the help of herbal remedies that were in her home - without success.

The swelling continued to spread to her cheeks and forehead, and when it reached her eyes it began to impair her vision.

Her husband, Albert Sayles, who works on his neighbor's farm with no fixed income, could not afford proper care or even medication to help his wife's condition.

Only after a year of suffering did Regucci go to the local hospital for treatment.

When they were unable to decipher the disease, she was transferred to a larger hospital, but there again the family was left unable to pay for medical treatment.

The worried husband is now turning to the network for help in a video in which he said: "I want to ask kind people to donate so we can finally give care to my wife at the hospital. We earn enough just for our and our one-year-old baby's daily expenses so I can not afford to pay the bills Her medical. "

Did she touch the "death triangle"?

Perhaps the place where the eczema is in what doctors call the "death triangle" on the face - the most dangerous place a person can crush a pimple.

This is an area that covers a small part of the eyes, the bridge of the nose, the corners of the mouth and the upper lip.

When this area is exposed to infection, this can lead to serious consequences.

The blood vessels in this danger triangle drain to the back of the head and form a direct path to the brain.

This means that infections that develop in this area can find their way into the nerve center in the brain.

Although this is a very rare scenario, an infection that develops in this area and migrates to the brain can lead to vision loss, paralysis and even death.

According to Jeremy Brewer, a clinical professor of dermatology at NYU Langone Medical Center, the veins that pass behind the eye sockets lead back to the 'pituitary gland' that is in the brain - a complex of veins that drain from the eye through which all three nerves move and provide sensation.

Prof. Breuer told Men's Health magazine that when we pry or blow up pimples, dirt from our hands and bacteria carried in the air can contaminate the open wound, causing a serious infection.

In such a condition the veins behind our eyes form contaminated clots, which puts pressure on the brain leading to partial or complete paralysis, and in some cases even death.

Without treatment, an infection in the sinus cavity can also cause complete vision loss, cerebral abscesses and meningitis.
