The number of patients in intensive care is on the rise again. There are 25 more serious cases on Monday than the day before.

On the eve of the gradual lifting of confinement scheduled for Tuesday, France has reached an epidemic plateau which calls for caution.

Public Health France counts 3,063 contaminations over these 24 hours, this Monday.

Please note, this daily statistic is subject to strong variations depending on the day of the week.

Monday's figures are still below standards due to the closure of laboratories on Sunday.

For example, there were 3,411 positive cases last Monday.

But the average over the last seven days is around 10,000 cases.

That is to say double the initial objectives of the government, which noted that these would not be achieved.

It goes back slightly in intensive care

After almost a month of decline, the impact on hospital services has been rising slightly for at least two days.

A logical trend after the plateau and the slight rebound observed several days ago on the screening side.

There are 2896 patients in intensive care this Monday against 2871 Sunday and 3198 last Monday.

Same observation in terms of hospitalization: there are 25,449 Covid-19 patients, or 242 more than the day before.

In the past 24 hours, 372 people have also died in hospital from the coronavirus.

They were 366 in the report published last Monday.

In total, France has deplored 58,282 deaths from the coronavirus since the start of the epidemic, including 40,320 in hospitals.
