Edgardo del Villar
died on December 13 at the age of 50, after fighting cancer.
In August 2020, del Villar made the announcement that he was temporarily retiring from television to focus on his health, as he was diagnosed with various brain tumors.
On social networks, his daughter

shared an emotional message to her father and published several photos showing that they had a great relationship.
"Daddy, there are no words to describe what I'm feeling right now. To be honest I'm not good at this kind of thing. But I'm telling you again. Thanks! Thanks for being my date."
