(ANSA) - PUCÓN, 14 DEC - As expected, the eclipse of the Sun plunged Argentina and Chile into darkness. The darkness fell for about two minutes.
It was feared that bad weather could in turn obscure the phenomenon, leaving thousands of star-loving inhabitants and as many connected via the web with their mouths dry, but it did not happen. The clouds have opened wide enough to make the spectacle visible to the eye.
"It was beautiful, unique. Many did not hope to see it, but the sky opened just in time", says an enthusiast in the town of Pucon, in Chile.
