The vaccination campaign against Covid in the United States has started.
The first vaccine was given in New York City shortly after 9:00 am at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens to an African American nurse named Sandra Lindsay.
"I hope this marks the beginning of the end of a painful period in our history," commented the woman.
"The first vaccine was administered. Congratulations USA! Congratulations world!".
Donald Trump tweeted.
The tycoon, meanwhile, changes the plan to include White House executives among the first to receive Pfizer's Covid vaccine. "People who work in the White House should get the vaccine a little later in the schedule, unless specifically required. I have asked for this change to be made," he tweeted. It is unclear why the president wants to change the plan for his entourage, which had also been confirmed by the National Security Council to strengthen public confidence.
