“Ecological tow”.
With an entirely Neapolitan irony and effectiveness that lead to environmental reflection and respect for the sea, it is the turn of the video campaign of
"SalviAmo Nettuno"
, a project aimed at informing, sensitizing and protecting the Kingdom of Neptune marine protected area, or the sea that caresses the islands of
Ischia and Procida
in Campania.
There are three videos made ad hoc that will be posted on expiry until April 2021, when the project will enter its operational phase.
In the first video, the protagonist, very little sensitive to environmental issues, is a young Latin lover who tries to pick up an attractive young lady by offering her a ride in the sea, on a gozzo not really owned by him, in the stretch of sea in front of the port of
Chiaiolella
, in Procida, for everyone now the island of the
Postino by Massimo Troisi
.
She accepts by offering her mobile number in exchange, but only at the misogynist request of the improvised sailor.
When she observes that her alleged suitor throws a cigarette butt into the sea, she indignantly refuses the invitation and scolds him properly.
"SalviAmo Nettuno", campaign for the ecosystem of Ischia and Procida - THE VIDEO
"The project - explain the promoters of the initiative - aims to help preserve the state of biodiversity, prevent the pollution of the beaches caused by abandoned waste, mainly plastic, and their spillage into the sea,
promoting the development of separate
waste
collection and raising awareness to the protection of the sea and the natural environment
".
To respond to the identified risk, activities are planned to prevent the abandonment of waste by pleasure boats and to clean the surface of the water by means of a sweeping boat and support boats during the bathing season.
Among the objectives, there is also that of
creating a model of marine pollution prevention that can
also be replicated in other marine protected areas for the dissemination of good practices in defense of the marine ecosystem.
"SalviAmo Nettuno - says
Carmine Esposito
, head of Marevivo Campania delegation - arises from the urgent need to prevent the abandonment of waste at sea. A phenomenon that has become a real emergency and which intensifies in the summer in areas with greater presence of yachtsmen. With this activity we will take care of preventing the abandonment of waste both at sea and on the beach and its correct disposal to preserve a marine protected area ".
The "SalviAmo Nettuno" campaign is supported by
the CON IL SU
D
Foundation
through the 2018 Bando Ambiente, and is developed by a partnership between the Campania Marevivo delegation - as leader, and the
Heste
r
Association
, the
Unec
- National Union cultural heritage, the
Erresse
study cooperative
and the Regno di Nettuno Marine Protected Area
