May the party continue !

Stopped four years ago, “La Fête de la chanson française” will resume in 2021. And according to our information, France 2 has chosen a new duo to embody this rebirth: the host Laury Thilleman and the musician André Manoukian.

"André will bring his knowledge of French song and Laury his pleasure of discovery", confirms Daniela Lumbroso, who produces this variety program.

Another novelty, the show will be filmed at the Olympia on December 16 and 17 for a broadcast at the end of January.

Many artists, who no longer have access to theaters since the reconfinement, will perform on this legendary stage.

Among them, Florent Pagny, Patrick Fiori, Camélia Jordana, Kendji Girac, Amel Bent or even Sylvie Vartan and Pascal Obispo.

On the guitar, Patrick Bruel, Thomas Dutronc and Vianney will pay tribute in particular to Georges Brassens, who would have been 100 years old in 2021.

Other original paintings will also be assembled around the songs of Daniel Balavoine, Johnny Hallyday and Jeanne Moreau.

“French song needs to be defended,” assures Daniela Lumbroso.

We are not proud enough of it even though it is exported all over the world.

French is chic.

A first comeback

On December 31, 2019, France 2 had already attempted a first comeback with "The French song celebrates the 31st", instead of the "Grand cabaret du 31" following the ousting of Patrick Sébastien a few months earlier.

In entertainment, France Télévisions had opted for a 100% female trio: Daphné Bürki, Faustine Bollaert and Sophie Davant.

Faced with the “Grand bêtisier du 31”, presented by Karine Ferry and Christophe Beaugrand who received Sébastien on TF1 in particular, La Deux had lost the battle at the end of the year by bringing together 2.9 million people until 12:25 am (21, 5% of PDA) against 3.2 million (23.1%) on the Une.

The launch of “La Fête de la chanson française” dates back to 2005. At the time, Daniela Lumbroso was already in production, via her company Dégel prod, but also in animation.

In total, ten editions were broadcast on France 2 until February 28, 2016. That evening, they were 2.6 million (13.5% of PDA) in front of this festive program.

Besides "La Fête de la chanson française", Daniela Lumbroso returned to the small papers of the management of France Televisions with another entertainment.

The former host of "Chabada" is indeed at the origin of "Viens, je t'emmène" on France 3 where several generations of singers meet.

Broadcast on Friday, November 27, the last number of this musical program, also hosted by Miss France 2011, was watched by 2.5 million viewers (11%).
