Several hundred cultural professionals demonstrated on Tuesday against the decision to extend the closure of places of worship.


Comedians, musicians, artists, dancers, cinema and museum managers… Everyone in the arts and entertainment industry was mobilized all over France to denounce the postponement of the opening of cultural venues, which were initially due to reopen this Tuesday, December 15 .

In Paris, and at the call of the CGT-spectacle, they were several hundred gathered on the Place de la Bastille to shout their anger and their dismay.

“Open theaters”, “Open cinemas”, “Deconfining culture!

Some chanted from the steps of the Opera Bastille.

Others held up signs that read “Culture, essential food” or “I am a non-essential”.
