"Your last solo": Will there be a second season on Netflix?

Greetings from “Black Swan”: In mid-December 2020, the ballet series “Your Last Solo” started on Netflix.

Fans are hoping for a second season, but will it come out?

“Your last solo”

seems harmless because of the ballet theme, but quickly turns out to be a dark drama.

Anyone who loves films like

“Black Swan”

might well enjoy the production.

Although the teen drama didn't start until December 14, 2020 *, the series made it into the

Netflix Top 10 the

very next day

.

So far, however, the ratings are still poor (it received 5.3 out of 10 stars on IMDb, as of December 16, 2020).

That could change, however, as soon as more users have seen the first ten episodes.

Then the question arises:

will there be a second season?

: Although her application was initially rejected, an elite ballet school in Chicago would like to win her as a student.

However, this decision has a tragic background.

Neveah was able to get the coveted place because another student fell from a roof and had a fatal accident.

After arriving at the new school, her colleagues suspect that one of the ballet dancers was responsible for the fatal fall.

Due to the fierce competition, Neveah soon realizes that individual students are actually capable of such drastic steps.

The Netflix series “Your Last Solo” is based on the book “Tiny Pretty Things” by the authors Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton.

Netflix

usually takes several weeks before the streaming service makes decisions for or against further seasons.

That has to do with the evaluation of the number of viewers.

If this is too low in relation to the costs for a series, there is a risk of withdrawal.

Since

“Your last solo” started

just a few days ago,

Netflix will

probably not comment on a second season until mid-January 2021 or even later.

Until then, the fans have to be patient.
