(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 16 - There are 17,752 coronavirus swab positives in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
The victims are 680.
The tests were 199,489, an increase of about 35,000 compared to yesterday, when 164,431 were recorded.
The positivity rate (positive-swab ratio, including repeat and control ones) is 8.8%, a slight warmer from about 9% yesterday.
Yesterday the positives were 14,844, the dead 846. In total cases since the beginning of the epidemic are 1,888,144, the victims 66,537.
The currently positive ones are 645,706 (-17.607), the healed and remitted 1,175,901 (+34,495).
The people in homecare isolation are 615,883 (-17,085).
There are 2,926 patients in intensive care, a decrease of 77 units in the overall balance between entries and exits compared to yesterday.
The daily admissions to resuscitation were instead191, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
The people in the ordinary wards are 26,897, down by 445 units compared to the previous day.
Among the regions with the highest number of positive swabs in the last 24 hours, Veneto once again ranks first with 3,817.
Followed by Lombardy (2,994), Puglia (1,388), Emilia-Romagna (1,238), Lazio (1,220), Piedmont (1,215), Sicily (1,065).
