(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 16 - The new regulation on eligibility requirements and criteria for representatives of banks and financial intermediaries has been published in the Official Journal.
The Mef communicates it.
This is "an important step in strengthening financial institutions, through a rigorous selection of the subjects in charge of their guidance", aiming to "significantly strengthen the standards of suitability" on the one hand "by raising the requirements already provided for by the current regulations, and secondly by introducing profiles that make the new legislation more stringent ".
"With the decree on the requirements of corporate officers, we are introducing a profound reform of the discipline, aimed at strengthening the methods of selecting bank managers and financial intermediaries. More stringent requirements and selection criteria to further enhance competence, transparency and independence of judgment".
