Duchess Meghan has prevailed in a legal dispute against a photo agency.
The British company has pledged not to take any more pictures of the former US actress, her husband Prince Harry and their son Archie.
This was announced by Meghan's lawyer in London, and a lawyer for the other side confirmed the agreement.
A spokesman for Meghan said the deal was a "clear sign that illegal, abusive and intrusive paparazzi behavior will not be tolerated."
The couple take such incidents seriously.
The subject of the dispute are images from the agency that Meghan and Archie showed in a park in Canada in January.
Photographers from the Splash agency took the two of them with a telephoto lens while walking on Vancouver Island.
In addition, according to Meghan's lawyer, a Splash man had monitored the family's Canadian domicile at the time.
He also took photos over a fence.
The Duchess said it was a private family outing in a remote area that had no public interest.
Company is insolvent
Proceedings are also pending against the agency's US sister company.
The UK offshoot is insolvent and is going through bankruptcy proceedings.
Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry were married in May 2018.
In March, the couple officially retired from the front row of the British royal family.
The small family now lives mainly in Meghan's homeland, California.
