(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 19 - The mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi was acquitted on appeal as part of the trial sull'inchiestanomine.The decision of the court was greeted with applause from the people present in the courtroom. Raggi hugged her husband.
The Attorney General had asked for a ten-month sentence for the accusation of forgery in relation to the appointment of Renato Marra, brother of the former head of staff Campidoglio Raffaele, as head of the tourism department of the Municipality of Rome. Raggi had also been acquitted in the first instance (ANSA).
