(ANSA) - PARIS, 19 DEC - A former close collaborator of the American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, the famous modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, was jailed in France on charges of rape and sexual harassment of minors.
Brunel was arrested Wednesday at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport as he was about to board a flight to Senegal. Epstein, who was arrested in New York in July 2019 on suspicion of trafficking in minors for sexual purposes, was found hanged in his cell the following month.
The investigation in Paris, where Esptein owned a luxurious apartment, started with accusations by French women of being abused and extended to Brunel. (HANDLE).
