(ANSA) - EREVAN, DEC 19 - The Armenian Prime Minister, NikolPashinyan, led a march in memory of the dead in the six-week war with Azerbaijan for the Caucasian region of Nagorno-Karabakh, which was attended by thousands of the start of three days of mourning proclaimed in the Caucasus country.
But tensions are pressing on Pashinyan, of which the opposition is calling for his resignation due to the outcome of the conflict following an agreement dictated by the mediation of Russia, deemed "humiliating", and with the loss of about 3,000 Armenians.
The opposition believes that the 45-year-old leader has betrayed the national cause by accepting an agreement on Azerbaijani conditions.
For his part, Pashinyan said he had no intention of taking a step back and that the agreement was the only option for Armenia and the only chance for the Karabakh region to survive.
