Bishop Michel Aupetit: "To hear music at Notre-Dame is a real consolation"

The Maîtrise de Notre-Dame de Paris recorded a concert behind closed doors in the cathedral under construction. The Archbishop of Paris presents this event which will be broadcast on December 24.

- What does this Christmas concert represent for the diocese and more generally for Christians?

This concert is a source of joy for all Christians affected by the health crisis that we have just experienced and the restrictions imposed on them.

In the midst of the mother church of our diocese, so wounded, there rises the hope of Christmas, the celebration of the little child who is born in the night of the world, who is apparently nothing, but who makes all things new.

"Today a Savior is born to you"
