The meaning of the colors in the traffic light
In fact, four colors were chosen for the program: green, yellow, orange and red.
Each local authority is classified in color according to these levels, with the color of the locality expressing the disease state in it.
A green classification indicates a low morbidity, a yellow classification indicates a medium morbidity level, an orange classification indicates a high morbidity level, and a red color classification indicates a very high morbidity level.
How and when are traffic light colors determined?
The classification and color of the locality are determined according to the percentage of new patients, the rate of increase in morbidity and the percentage of positive patients from the total number of tests in each city, respectively and in relation to the number of residents.
It is important to note that in the event of an acute outbreak of morbidity, it may be decided that a locality or red areas will be declared a "restricted area", an area subject to stricter restrictions: cessation of educational frameworks over age 6 and restricting entry and exit.
The colors are set by the government at a conference once a week, on Thursdays.
What does each color allow?
Authorities that are classified as green or yellow will be able to conduct studies in fifth grades and above and activities in youth movements starting the following Sunday for a week, while an authority that is determined as orange or red will not be able to conduct studies in these settings for that week.
However, the activity of early childhood and first- and fourth-grade educational frameworks will continue throughout the country, regardless of traffic light colors, except in areas declared a restricted area.

Earlier today, the Ministry of Health updated that yesterday 2,821 new verified viruses were diagnosed, out of 70,575 tests performed, so that the rate of positive tests now stands at 4.1%.
To date, 3,101 people have died from the virus in Israel.
The data also show that the number of active patients increased to 24,992, including 456 patients in critical condition, 117 respirators, and 149 whose condition is defined as moderate.
In the last two days there has been a decrease in the number of patients in critical condition: on Saturday their number was 473, and yesterday 464 patients were reported.
