"Your love and support are the greatest gift": Actor Elliot Page is grateful for the support of his fans since he came out as a transgender.

"Take care of yourselves.

Be there for each other, «wrote the 33-year-old under a new Instagram selfie.

In the post, Page also draws attention to two organizations that support transgender people: the "Trans Lifeline" emergency number and the "Transanta" project, which coordinates Christmas gifts for young people in emergency situations.

"If you can, support these projects," wrote Page.

With the Instagram post, the actor spoke for the first time publicly since he announced his coming out as Elliot on social media in early December.

The Canadian became known in 2007 with the film »Juno« and has been married to the dancer Emma Portner since 2018.

Last year he took on a leading role in the comic book adaptation "The Umbrella Academy".

“I love that I'm trans.

And I love that I'm queer, ”Page wrote in early December.

According to the actor, however, he was also afraid of rejection and bullying: "The truth is, although I feel deeply happy at the moment, I am afraid of the hatred, the 'jokes' and violence," continues Page.
