(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, DECEMBER 22 - The European Union will not close its doors to the United Kingdom and remains ready to negotiate beyond the first of January. Thus the EU chief negotiator for Michel Michel Barnier at 27 according to what is learned in Brussels.


   EU Brexit chief negotiator Michel Barnier, referring to the ambassadors of the 27, said that "progress has been made" and that "most of the problems have been closed or are close to agreement". However - according to EU sources -, Barnier recalled that "differences in fisheries remain difficult to overcome". The Frenchman then pointed out that "unfortunately, the UK is still not moving enough to conclude a fair deal on fisheries". (HANDLE).
