Two out of three people (67%) are available to get vaccinated against Covid-19, the percentage rises among the elderly (84%).

These are the first results of an in-depth study carried out in the context of the Passi and Passi d'Argento surveillance, coordinated by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (Iss), in the months between August and November on a sample of 2,700 respondents, through the Covid module.

The youngest, 18-34 year olds, would be well prepared to get vaccinated (76%) compared to 50-69 year olds (67%) and 35-49 year olds (59%).

"

The results of this research show an attitude of responsibility of the Italians", says Silvio Brusaferro, president of the ISS.

32% of the population aged 18 to 69 said that their economic resources have deteriorated as a result of the pandemic.

Among the youngest, but especially in the 35-49 age group, the share rises to 36%, it is 28% among the 50-69 year olds.

This is stated in an in-depth study carried out in the context of the Silver Passes and Passes surveillance, coordinated by the ISS.

One in three workers suffered economic losses: by keeping the same job but with reduced pay (28%) or losing it altogether (4%).

During the March-April lockdown, 37% continued to work in their usual location, 33% worked in smart working mode.

With Covid, 44% of over 65s have given up at least one medical examination (or diagnostic test) they would have needed, in particular 28% had to give it up due to suspension of service while 16% did so voluntarily for fear of infection.

"These data - explains the research - do not show significant differences in the socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents. However, it is noted that the choice to voluntarily renounce the medical examination or diagnostic examination for fear of contagion is more frequent among women (19% against 13% among men) and among people with a higher level of education. "The data have a fundamental value as they guide the needs of socio-welfare continuity.

In these months of health emergency, in fact, it is necessary to raise the level of attention to the needs linked to the consequences of the "pandemic fatigue" and these data are important indications above all for the protection of the most fragile ", says Silvio Brusaferro, president of the ISS.

"Almost all of the interviewees report having" always "worn the mask when using public transport and in public places.

Regardless of age, gender or social conditions, the vast majority of residents in Italy wear masks in these circumstances ": these are the first results of an in-depth study carried out in the context of the Silver Passes and Steps surveillance, coordinated by the ISS, in the months between August and November on a sample of 2,700 interviewees, through the Covid module.

"Even the use of the mask outdoors is high - observes the research - 74% of 18-69 year olds and 84% of over 65 year olds report wearing the mask often / always outdoors. No differences can be seen for classes on the other hand, a gender difference can be seen with women who are more likely than men to wear a mask (78% vs 69% among adults; 86% vs 81% among the elderly). Even younger people aged 18-34 report a use of the mask outdoors not too different from that of the rest of the adults ".
