This Tuesday, the La Fraternidad union, which brings together train conductors, carried out a
total 24-hour strike in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires
, which will not have services throughout the day, which creates serious difficulties for the 500 thousand users newspapers that use it to travel.
The measure paralyzes the Roca, Miter, San Martín, Sarmiento, Belgrano Sur and Tren de la Costa lines.
Already around 6, long lines of passengers were forming at the different bus stops that serve this Tuesday as an alternative to get, mainly, from the Buenos Aires suburbs to the City.
Although the Ministry of Transport
and implemented a bus service to connect the main stations of each branch
with the Buenos Aires capitals, they are not able to satisfy the high demand.
The measure, as explained by Omar Maturano, head of the union, is for a "
large debt
" that the national State maintains with the railway social work.
The leader affirmed that La Fraternidad is owed 140 million pesos for the single refund system
The union announced that, if no answers are received, "the plan of struggle will be deepened" with another strike on December 31 and January 1.
They hope that the Government will communicate in the next few hours to be able to advance in the negotiations.
Last week, Maturano said that since the declaration of the force measure, the union has sought meetings with the authorities of the Superintendency of Health Services, but "did not find an echo to the need to analyze the serious issue, which made the social work".
"The SSS officials did not summon the union to any meeting, so the union ratifies the 24-hour national strike on Tuesday 22nd and warns that if this attitude continues it will deepen the actions on December 31st and January 1st," he assured Télam on Friday.
