In the past 24 hours, health authorities have reported 14,929 new infections with the new coronavirus, against 11,795 contaminations detected on Tuesday.

Seven days ago, Public Health France figures announced 17,615 cases.

2701 patients in intensive care

The plateau observed for days in terms of hospitalizations remains quite valid.

This Wednesday, 24,852 patients were hospitalized in the country for coronavirus contamination, against 24,932 Tuesday and 25,201 Monday.

Among them, 2,701 patients have a sufficiently serious state of health to require admission to the intensive care unit.

The trend is downward, since the number of patients treated in these specialized services was 2,719 Tuesday and 2,737 Monday.

At the hospital, 276 new deaths are to be deplored in the past 24 hours.

Of this total, 42,757 people lost their lives in hospital.
